When you buy insurance on Branch, you have different options for how to pay.
For a car policy, you can pay by either credit card or bank account. Paying by bank account will save you some money because there are higher fees associated with processing credit card transactions than bank transactions.
For a home policy, you can pay by credit card, bank account, or escrow. When you elect to pay by escrow, your mortgage company handles the payment for your home insurance through the escrow account which you pay into through your mortgage every month. Paying by escrow is the most cost effective way to pay for your home insurance, followed by bank account. Paying through credit card is, again, slightly more expensive due to the higher fees associated with processing transactions.
